Dear users,
We are writing to let you know that on January 11, 2024, Zenfit became aware that a former employee had access to data beyond the time of employment, which involved the personal data of Zenfit app users active between January 2016 and May 2021.
We were able to recover all data and contain the incident
Our team immediately started an investigation to ensure all data were recovered and access was deleted. We have received confirmation from our investigation that the data were not shared or put to use by anyone and that no payment information was included in the incident.
The types of data recovered include:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Password
- Data uploaded and exchanged via the Zenfit app
Our team is working closely with the Data Protection Authorities to ensure that user rights are protected. Meanwhile, we ensured that the improvement of data management practices already in place would prevent this from happening in the future.
When an incident like this happens, it is recommended to change passwords for other services.
